The 2025 China Machinery Industry Science & Technology Awards—China’s only state-approved prize in the field—has gone to DSpower servo for its “Performance Testing & Enhancement Technology and Equipment for Robot Joints.”
The award recognizes the company’s leadership in developing, testing and mass-producing the core motion component of any robot: the servo.
Since establishing the Key Laboratory for Compact Robot Joints, DSpower servo has released servos purpose-built for humanoids and dexterous hands that set new benchmarks for accuracy, torque density and response time.
The same R&D team has ported the technology to consumer-grade products: micro servos with built-in slip clutches and <45 dB noise levels that survive drop tests desktop robots and AI plush toys demand. The line has already pushed DSpower’s 2025 shipments past the million-unit mark.
Engineers can source the servos off-the-shelf or co-design variants from -55 °C to 105 °C, IPX8 sealed, with PWM, TTL, RS485 or CAN interfaces.
Desheng says the prize is “a license to keep iterating,” and plans to expand joint R&D with Beijing University of Technology while scaling its digital, green factory.
